2015 IPM & Rural Expo Opens Today

The woman who stitched the first red maple leaf Canadian flag is the Parade Marshall for the 2015 IPM and Rural Expo's opening parade today.

Joan O'Malley will also officially open the match in Finch, in Eastern Ontario.

The Chatham-Kent precision riding team - the Canadian Cowgirls - are part of this year's event as well.

The 2015 IPM runs today through Saturday in Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
