U-S Soybean Crop Condition Improves

The USDA has boosted it's condition rating for soybeans but left it's corn rating the same as a week ago.

Soybeans are up 2 points at 63 per cent good to excellent, corn is steady at 68 per cent.

For corn, that's 6 points below a year ago.

For soybeans, 8 points below.

The USDA says 10 per cent of the U-S corn crop has been harvested - 5 points behind the five year average.

7 per cent of the soybeans are off - same as the five year average.

And the USDA reports 19 per cent of the American winter wheat crop has now been planted - just one point behind the five year average for this time of the year.
