Nominations Open For DFO's Organic Producers Advisory Committee

Dairy Farmers of Ontario is calling for nominations for it's new Organic Producers Advisory Committee.

That committee will provide input to the Board on matters affecting organic farm markets, programs, quota policies and organic milk pricing.

It will be made up of five elected Ontario licensed organic dairy producers, three appointed members of the board and such staff as deemed necessary by the board and senior management.

Nominations are open until October 12th.

Organic milk producers will vote for those director spots at three meetings across the province, with the final choices based on the total votes from all three meetings.

The meetings are in Avonmore, Belleville and Stratford.

The Stratford meeting is November 4th at the Arden Park Hotel.

There's more information on the Dairy Farmers of Ontario website.
