Ridgetown Prof New AALP Curriculum Advisor

The Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program has a new Curriculum Advisor.

John Zandstra is a Professor at the University of Guelph's Ridgetown Campus.

He's been there since 1994 - and for the past five years has been coordinator of Ridgetown's Agriculture and Horticulture Diploma Programs.

With AALP he's be supporting the curriculum for the upcoming Class 16 program.

Zandstra will also be providing speaker and field trip recommendations and working directly with participants on their independent group projects.

He says he considers leadership key in the agriculture industry and suggests we need to be developing and encouraging young and old to become leaders.

AALP is a 19 month agricultural leadership program which includes North American and international study travel components.

It's delivered by the Rural Ontario Institute.
