Tracking Livestock With Your Smartphone

A new smartphone app has been developed to help livestock farmers capture and access data 24-7.

Go360-bioTrack is a partnership of BIO and Angus GeoSolutions Incorporated.

BIO General Manager Mike McMorris says a recent survey by three Canadian breed associations showed over 90 per cent of the respondents are interested in using their smart phone to track cattle records.

McMorris says McDonalds and Walmart are also leading the charge toward verification of what farmers are doing on their farm and with their animals.

He calls Go360-bioTrack a valuable management tool which could jumpstart the process of standardizing mandatory reporting across the country.

There's more information on this new app on the Bio website - bridgingintelligence.com.
