Judgement Reserved In Neonic Treated Seeds Regulation Stay Request

Grain Farmers of Ontario's request for a stay of the new provincial seed treatment regulations got a court hearing yesterday.

Both GFO and the Ontario Government made their arguments in the case.

GFO Chair Mark Brock says although the hearing was scheduled for 2 hours, it went twice that long.

Brock says the judge has reserved judgement in the case and did not say when he'll make his decision.

Grain Farmers of Ontario argues the regulations are not workable and that they would have a negative impact on the future of grain farming in the province.
