Celebrating Ontario Agriculture And Local Food

This is Ontario Agriculture Week - a chance to celebrate agriculture and local food.

The week leading up to Thanksgiving was first proclaimed Ontario Agriculture Week by the provincial government in 1998 - 17 years ago.

Farm & Food Care Ontario is one of the lead organisations involved in the celebrations.

There's a website set up to suggest ways to celebrate food and farming in the province this week and beyond.

It's at www.loveontfood.ca.

Resources include an event calendar and links to food and farming contacts.

Ontario Agriculture Week runs October 5th to the 11th.
