HDC Takes Over Clinton Feed Mill, Elevator Operations

The Fleming Feed Mill and Elevator operations in Clinton have been purchased by Hensall District Co-operative.

Fleming Feed Mill was started by Bill and Margaret Fleming - with the original facilities built in 1967.

They've been updated and expanded a number of times since then.

The Clinton mill can now produce over 30 metric tonnes an hour.

The elevator can receive 10 thousand bushels of wheat, corn and crusher soys an hour, dry 4 thousand bushels an hour and has storage for 1 point 5 million bushels of grain.

HDC is a farmer-owned co-operative with business divisions operating in feed mills, energy, crop products , grain elevators and global and local logistics.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
