FCC, Co-operators Among Canada's Best Employers

Two agriculture-related businesses have been rated in the top category of a national Best Employers study.

The Co-operators and Farm Credit Canada both earned Platinum ratings in the Aon Hewitt study for 2015.

Over the past 10 years, FCC has consistently ranked among the top 15 organisations in Canada in that survey.

FCC is a crown corporation with an agricultural loan portfolio of more than 27 billion dollars.

The Co-operators Group Limited offers insurance and investment products.

It's owned by a number of co-operatives and agricultural groups across Canada - including the Ontario Federation of Agriculture .

The ratings look at employee and leader opinions, external benchmarking and identification of key priorities that drive engagement.

It's used by employers like The Co-operators to identify areas of strength and areas in need of improvement.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
