Grey County Animal Queen's Guineas Reserve Champ

A Proton Station 4-H'er showed the Reserve Grand Champion in this year's Queen's Guineas competition at the Royal.

Jarrett Hargrave's animal weighed in a 14 hundred and 30 pounds.

Sanagan's Meat Locker of Toronto bought the Queen's Guineas Reserve Champion for 7 dollars a pound.

The Champion - a steer shown by Sylvia Megens of Goodwood, Ontario - sold for 10 dollars a pound to Highland Packers Limited of North York.

The annual Queen's Guineas competition recognizes excellence in the show ring.

Exhibitors must be 4-H members.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
