Perth Federation Launches Harvest Gala Event

The Perth County Federation of Agriculture believes the county's agriculture sector is something worth celebrating.

That's the idea behind the first-ever Perth County Harvest Gala coming up later this month in Stratford.

Spokesman Darryl Terpstra says the Gala will give people involved in agriculture to get together outside a meeting environment.

The dress is formal and the menu is based on Perth County and Ontario food products.

Terpstra says they're also trying to make it an event where the people involved in agriculture - the ones usually doing the serving - get served and recognised as the sector should be.

The annual Perth Federation of Agriculture Agricultural Recognition Award will also be presented at the event.

The Perth County Harvest Gala is November 21st at the Stratford Rotary Complex.

Tickets are 50 dollars - with a table of 8 for 350 dollars.

Deadline for tickets is November 13th and they can be obtained through the Perth County Federation of Agriculture.

Terpstra says they're focussing on not having the people of agriculture doing the work at the gala.
