Province's Top Canola Growers Named

Ontario Canola Growers has announced it's 2015 Canola Challenge winners.

Jonathon Sammons of Shelburne topped the challenge at 5,199 pounds per acre.

Rob Wyville of Markdale was second at 4,674 pounds and Brian Wiley of Meaford was third with 4,244 pounds per acre.

Sammons wins 2 thousand dollars, Wyville 1 thousand and Wiley 750 dollars.

Bill Ceasar of Lions Head was 4th, Don Curry of Owen Sound 5th and Carl Brubacher of Lions Head 6th.

Ceasar, Curry and Brubacher each win 500 dollars in this year's Canola Challenge.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
