Royal's 2015 Champion Market Lamb From Elmwood

Emke Livestock of Elmwood showed the Champion Market Lamb at this year's Royal.

That animal - a 120 pound Suffolk/Charolais cross - sold for a record-breaking $20.10 a pound to Yummy Market of Vaughn.

Hugh Todd's Todd Sheep Farm of Lucknow showed the Reserve Champion and was also awarded the Ontario South Down Club Trophy.

The Shayrina Sheep Farm of Bluevale showed the Reserve Champion Pair of Lambs in the Market Lamb competition as well as the Champion New Crop Milk Lamb.

Finlay Southdowns of Lucknow also had a top-three finish in one of the Southdown market lamb categories at the Royal.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
