Local Clydesdale Exhibitors Show Well At The Royal

Some Midwestern Ontario names among the top finishers in the Clydesdale competition at this year's Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

Hugh Love of Atwood posted a number of top-three finishes, including showing the Reserve Champion Filly Foal and the Reserve Junior Filly.

The Baird Brothers of Wingham had a first and a couple of seconds - including a second in the Progeny of Dam class.

And Steve Gregg of Cargill was co-owner of the animal named Champion Senior Mare and Grand Champion Mare.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
