Monsanto Community Fund Dollars Coming To Bruce, Wellington

Groups in Tiverton and Arthur are among the recipients of this year's Canada's Farmers Grow Communities Program.

The program is sponsored by Monsanto.

It provides 25 hundred dollar grants to rural charities and non-profits nominated by a local farmer.

Monsanto's Kelly Funke says each of this year's 66 recipient organisations has unique needs, but each will contribute to making their community stronger.

This year's Ontario winners include the KTTPS Home and School organisation and the Arthur Minor Hockey Association.

KTTPS was nominated by Mike Roppel of Tiverton.

Arthur Minor Hockey was nominated by Shawn Livingston of Conn.

This year's 66 recipients were selected from 371 entries from across the country.
