Royal Winter Fair Regional Dairy Competition Results

Paul and Lorraine Franken of Clinton showed one of the top females in the National Jersey Competition at the Royal.

Their animal - Paullor Giller Rilee - captured Best Udder and Bed Bred Owned honours.

The 5 year old female also got a Senior Champion Female Honorable Mention.

Franken's also had a third place finish in the Female Junior Calf category.

Another Midwestern Ontario exhibitor - Glen and Sheila Burgess of Mildmay's Shenel Farms - Golden Jerseys won the Protein Award in the Jersey show.

Another Mildmay exhibitor - Chakelburg Holsteins - collected a third in the 3 year old Junior Female category in the Royal's Red and White Holstein show.

That same animal was also judged best Bred and Owned in it's category.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
