DFO's New Organic Producers Advisory Committee Members Elected

Four of the five members elected to the new Organic Producers Advisory Committee are from Midwestern Ontario.

The committee will provide advice to Dairy Farmers of Ontario's board on issues related to the provincial organic milk sector.

Steve Hartman and Stewart Slater are from Perth County, Marte Pronk from Wellington and William J. Van Nes from Huron.

John Brunsveld is the fifth member of that committee.

Van Nes and Hartman will serve 3 year terms while Brunsveld, Pronk and Slater will serve 2 year terms.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
