CFFO President Facing Election Challenge

Wellington County's Lorne Small faces a challenge for the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario presidency this year.

The Kenilworth-area farmer and Clarence Nywening from the Thamesville area have both been nominated for the job.

Next week's CFFO Convention will also have elections for Vice-President and for two director positions.

Richard Blyleven from Haldimand-Norfolk, Ed Scharringa from Wentworth-Brant and John kikkert from Niagara are running for Vice-President.

Henry Stevens from Wellington, Bethanee Jensen from Huron and Henk Vaarkamp from Haldimand-Norfolk are up for the 2 director spots.

The them of this year's CFFO convention is Emerging Opportunities for Ontario Agriculture.

The convention is next Tuesday, December 1st at the St. George Banquet Hall in Waterloo.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
