Perth Federation Presents Annual Agricultural Recognition Award

John and Mary McIntosh are this year's winners of the Perth Federation of Agriculture's Agricultural Recognition Award.

The McIntosh's are from Avonbank, southwest of Stratford.

The award recognizes their strong commitment to agriculture and to the betterment of their community and Perth County as a whole.

The award was presented at last weekend's first-ever Perth Harvest Gala.

Almost 300 tickets were sold to the event described as a celebration of the importance of agriculture to Perth County's economy and culture.

Proceeds from the event will be supporting agricultural education efforts within Perth County.

According to the federation, the enthusiasm for next year's event is already building.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
