U-N Says World Food Prices Were Lower In November

Global food prices dipped in November.

The U-N's Food and Agriculture Organisation says it's November Food Price Index was down 1 point 6 per cent from October.

It was about 18 per cent below November of last year.

Sugar was the only commodity in the index to post a price increase last month.

Meat prices were 23 per cent lower than in November of 2014.

Cereals and oils were down 16 per cent and dairy 15 per cent.

Sugar, despite recent price hikes, was down 10 per cent year-over-year.

The FAO says November's Cereal Price Index was the lowest it's been since June of 2010.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
