CCA Exec New Global Roundtable President

A Canadian takes over as president of the Global Roundtable For Sustainable Beef in January.

Canadian Cattlemen's Association Executive Vice President Dennis Laycraft will be joined by two others on the roundtable's executive committee.

Those two are Carlos Saviani of the World Wildlife Fund and Cameron Bruett of JBS.

Laycraft says the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef has established itself as the global meeting area for discussions on defining and identifying sustainable beef production.

He says it's well-suited to supporting the establishment of new national or regional roundtables and initiatives.

The organisation's 2016 Global Conference on Sustainable Beef will be held in Alberta.
