Students Offered Funding For Guelph Organic Conference

A scholarship program linked to the Guelph Organic Conference is offering up to 25 hundred dollars in honorariums this year.

The Eco-Scholar program is open to any registered student at a high school, community college or university interested in a career in organics.

Five students will each get 500 dollars, a ticket for the Organic Food and Wine Dinner and a Keynote Forum ticket.

Applications need to complete a form on-line that includes a 250 words-or-less essay.

Deadline is January 10th.

The Guelph Organic Conference runs from January 28th to the 31st at the Guelph University Centre.

The Conference includes a free, two-day Organic Trade Show featuring over 160 exhibitors.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
