Farm & Food Care Ontario has found its new Executive Director.
Tracy Hussey replaces Crystal Mackay, who's taking over as the new national Chief Executive Officer for Farm & Food Care Canada.
Hussey has over 20 years experience working in food and health-related roles and 10 years in senior leadership positions.
She's a registered dietician by training.
Farm & Food Care Ontario Chair John Maaskant says Hussey's strong background in nutrition and dietetics will be a great asset to the organisation.
Hussey says she's passionate about increasing Farm & Food Care's opportunities to have conversations with non-farming Ontarians while helping them understand our complex food systems.
She started her new job this week.
Farm & Food Care is a coalition of farmers and associated business.
Its mandate includes providing credible information about farming and strengthening sustainable food and farming for the future.
