21 farms will be receiving 2015 Master Breeders shields from Holstein Canada.
The shields recognize breeders Holstein Canada determines have mastered the art of breeding balanced cattle.
Most of them - 13 - are first time recipients.
Six are getting their second shield, one their third and one will get it's fourth - the first time that's happened.
That breeder is High Point Farms of Port Perry, Ontario.
This year Holstein Canada will award it's milestone 1 thousandth Master Breeder Shield.
Most of the 2015 winners - 10 - are from Ontario.
Most of those are from Eastern or Central Ontario.
The closest to our region are Bosdale Farms of Cambridge, with their third shield, and Harvdale Holsteins of Stayner, with their first.
