Blake Re-Elected Perth Junior Farmers President

Perth County's Junior Farmer members donated over 6 thousand dollars and contributed more than 800 hours of volunteer work in 2015.

Those numbers part of the county group's affiliation report to the Junior Farmers Association of Ontario.

Crystal Blake says they hope to increase their contributions to the community this year in both money and volunteer hours.

Blake was re-elected president at the Perth county group's recent annual meeting.

Her vice-president for 2016 is Thomas Mayes.

Blake says as the club's membership continues to grow, so do the opportunities for them to enhance their collaboration with community groups like the Perth County Farm Safety Association and 4-H.

To help with that, Perth Junior Farmers named two people for each of the Farm Safety and 4-H representative roles this year to make sure they have back-ups in those positions.
