Solid Foundation For Ontario Goat Industry

Ontario Goat President Anton Slingerland says a solid foundation is being built to serve the industry as a whole.

Slingerland says addressing the growing needs of the industry will be a major focus of the organisation's upcoming annual meeting and producer education day in Woodstock.

He suggests that's a good place for producers to learn more about Ontario Goat's initiatives as well as to network with fellow producers and industry partners.

One of the meeting's keynote speakers will be Doctor Bradley White from Trent University.

He'll be discussion his newly completed research on genetic resistance and susceptibility to scrapie.

That research is based on two scrapie outbreaks in Ontario.

Ontario Goat's annual meeting also features a trade show.

Pre-registration is required.

The meeting is coming up February 24th at Goff Hall in Woodstock.
