Young Leaders Meet At GFO Program

Young leaders recently had an opportunity to grow in the agricultural industry.

A Grain Farmers of Ontario program was held in Guelph last week.

'Ontario's Grains in Action' drew people from across the region who have backgrounds from outside of the area.

One of the participatns was Natalie Walt who hails from Prince Edward County. She grew up on a dariy and crop farm and is active in Agribusiness in the Gueph area now.

"It's a program for young agricultural leaders to gain knowledge about the grain value chain, meet industry contacts and build relationships with like minded people," says Walt. "This conference allows participants to learn the demand for and end uses of crops."

Walt is also actively involved with Wellington Federation of Agriculture and Wellington Soil and Crop Association.
