January-February Global Food Prices Steady - Down From 2015

World food prices were steady in February from January.

The U-N's Food and Agriculture Organisation says it's February Food Price Index was still 14 and a half per cent below where it was in February of 2015.

Cereal, sugar and dairy prices fell.

Higher vegetable oils and meat prices offset that.

The FAO says it's Cereal Price Index was down marginally, Sugar down 6 point 2 per cent and Dairy down 2 point 1 per cent.

The Vegetable Oil Price Index was up 8 per cent from January while the FAO's global Meat Price Index was up marginally.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
