OASC Says Push For More RMP Funding Will Continue

The Ontario Agriculture Sustainability Coalition says the recent budget included both good and bad news for the province's farmers.

Chair Bob Gordanier welcomes the budget's support for business risk management programs for farmers.

But he points out the budget did not include more money for those programs.

OASC had called for a 75 million dollar increase in available RMP funding over the next three years.

Gordanier says farmers understand the financial challenges the government faces.

He also says OASC will continue it's efforts on the issue, suggesting the government understands the real need to top up the program.
