Sarnia BioAmber Plant Potential Customer Base Growing

BioAmber says more than 100 companies have tested and qualified the bio-succinic acid produced at its Sarnia plant.

The facility uses corn as a feedstock to produce the specialized acid.

CEO Jean-Francois Huc says they're producing a quality product at a competitive cost at the Sarnia plant.

The company's year-end financial report showed a net loss attributable to BioAmber shareholders of 37 point 2 million dollars.

That's almost ten million dollars less than the company lost in 2014.

Mitsui and Company has invested 25 million dollars in the Sarnia joint venture, increasing its equity stake from 30 to 40 per cent.
