New Scholarship For Wellington County Ag Students

The Wellington Christian Farmers Association has set up a scholarship program for children of their members.

The Association will be awarding up to two scholarships a year, each worth a thousand dollars.

To apply, students need to be children of a Christian Farmers Association of Wellington member.

They must be enrolled in an agriculture-related post-secondary program at an accredited post-secondary institution .

And they must demonstrate plans to pursue an agriculture related career.

The applications involve a letter describing their previous agriculture related background and activities, why they want to pursue a career in agriculture and an outline of any previous community involvement.

Since this is the first year of the program, they're open to applications by this year's banquet on April 8th.

If none are received by then, the deadline will be July 30th.

In future years, applications for the Christian Farmers Association of Wellington scholarships will be due by February 28th.

Applications should be sent to the Association's secretary, Henry Stevens.
