Farmers Urged To Complete Census Of Agriculture Questionnaire

Farm Management Canada is urging Canadian farm operators to complete the upcoming Census of Agriculture questionnaire.

It says government policy advisors use the data to help develop farm support programs and evaluate the impact of natural disasters on the industry.

Farm organisations, according to FMC, draw on it to formulate policy recommendations, produce communications and outreach work and to conduct market development.

Farm Management Canada also points out the information is kept confidential and used only for statistical purposes.

The Census of Agriculture questionnaire will start being distributed across the country at the beginning of May.
