Wellington Children's Safety Day Reminder For Whole Family

The Wellington County Farm and Home Safety Association is holding it's annual Children's Safety Day Saturday.

They're looking for volunteers to help out with this year's event.

They're needed to help with tasks such as registration, escorting groups from station to station and serving lunch.

Topics being covered Saturday include tractor safety, fire safety, and power take off safety.

They've also added a gun safety component this year.

Spokesman Walter Grose says they're hosting it before the start of the busy season on the farm to remind families about staying safe.

The Wellington County Children's Safety Day runs from 9:30 to 3 on Saturday at Farfield Farms in Centre Wellington - one sideroad south of Alma.

Anyone interested in volunteering should call 519-846-5329.
