High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Organisers of this fall's International Plowing Match and Rural Expo have nabbed a signature event.
The RCMP Musical Ride will be performing on Tuesday, September 20th and Wednesday, September 21st at the IPM.
Those are the first two days of the 5 day match.
The Ontario Plowman's Association says support from the Ontario Government and the Celebrate program helped them confirm the Musical Ride performances.
This year's International Plowing Match and Rural Expo runs September 20th to the 24th just outside Harriston in Wellington County.
