Canadian Dairy Xpo Locks In April Dates For Next Five Years

Moving from February to April appears to have had little impact on attendance at the Canadian Dairy Xpo.

The Stratford event attracted about 15 thousand producers over it's two days in February of 2015.

Organisers say this year's attendance was just shy of 15 thousand for it's two days in April.

However, organisers report survey results show 74 per cent of the attendees favour the April dates.

Enough so that the Xpo has locked up April dates for the event for the next five years.

One of the highlites of this year's event was the new 400 foot long WeCover Cow Coliseum and the 100 foot long pedestrian bridge connecting to the the Stratford Rotary Complex.

According to Xpo organisers, 95 per cent of the show's attendees are active dairy producers with almost half of them being under the age of 35.

The 2017 Canadian Dairy Xpo runs April 5th and 6th in Stratford.
