Agricultural Outreach Coordinator New Position For Saugeen Conservation

Saugeen Conservation now has an Agricultural Outreach Coordinator.

Tori Waugh's job is to work with farmers on things like demonstration plots, tailgate workshops and educational materials.

"On project ideas I would super love to be the go-to person because I would like to make a demo project out of them and I would like to invite them to speak in a workshop."

She says the position has been in the works for some time, at least partly in response to some of the criticism Saugeen Conservation has been getting about its relationship with farmers in the watershed.

Waugh says educational outreach funding through the Great Lakes Agricultural Stewardship Initiative helped make it a reality this year.
