Province Says Bacardi Investment Signal For Food And Beverage Companies

The latest Growing Forward 2 agrifood investment in Ontario is in Bacardi Canada's Brampton operation.

The approximately 350 thousand dollar investment will help the company upgrade equipment to create new packaging and labelling and to produce packaging made from recycled materials.

Ontario Agriculture Minister Jeff Leal says the investment is a clear signal that Ontario is a prime location where food and beverage processing companies can invest, expand and be successful.

The Bacardi facility in Brampton produces more than 7 million litres of rum for the Canadian market every year.
