Wellington County Woman Heads Farm Writers Group

Members from Wellington and Grey Counties are among the Eastern Canada Farm Writers Association's 2016-17 Board of Directors.

Sharon Grose of Alma is the organisation's president for the coming year.

Meaghan Ryersee of Guelph is one of her vice-presidents while Rachel Telford of Guelph and Courtney Denard of Owen Sound are directors.

The rest of the Association's board members are Kristy Nudds of Tillsonburg, Mary Feldskov of Elmira, Kimberley Coyle of Milton and Amy Reusch of Milton.

The Eastern Canada Farm Writers Association represents about 140 people involved in agricultural communications in Ontario and Quebec.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
