U of G 'Open For Business' In Dairy Research

The University of Guelph has launched a new cross-campus research group called 'Dairy at Guelph'.

It brings together more than 65 researchers from 12 departments and five colleges.

Professor David Kelton says Guelph has more researchers working across the dairy value chain than any other university in Canada.

Kelton is the Dairy Farmers of Ontario Chair in Dairy Cattle Health at the Ontario Veterinary College.

He also points to the University's state-of-the-art research facilities, it's new dairy research centre at Elora and its long history of dairy research.

Dairy at Guelph will be the main point of contact for all things dairy at the University .

It will also encourage collaborations among researchers and the dairy industry.

Professor Stephen LeBlanc of the Department of Population Medicine says the research group lets external partners know the University of Guelph is open for business.
