BFO Lobby Day Pushes Ontario Herd Expansion, RMP

Beef Farmers of Ontario served over 700 people at the organisation's annual Queen's Park Barbecue this week.

The barbecue is part of a full day of provincial government lobbying for the industry.

BFO President Matt Bowman says the government's announced updating of the Ontario Feeder Cattle Loan Guarantee program set a positive tone for the day.

BFO Directors and staff met with a number of MPP's throughout the day.

Topics of discussion included BFO's plans for expanding the cow herd in Ontario and the importance of sustaining and growing Ontario's Risk Management program.

Beef Farmers of Ontario calls the RMP a valuable business tool for farmers.
