2 Perth County Barn Fires Overnight 'Suspicious'

Police are considering two barn fires in the Milverton area overnight as suspicious.

The first started around 11 last night on Line 61 east of Road 129.

That blaze completely destroyed the barn and killed the 20 cows, 4 horses and 120 goats inside.

While the Perth East Fire Department was fighting that fire a bystander noticed a dairy barn on a neighbouring farm had also caught fire.

The second barn was fully engulfed in flames very quickly.

It's not known how many animals were lost in that fire.

Perth OPP consider both fires suspicious.

The Ontario Fire Marshall's Office has been notified.

No damage estimates yet.
