May Drier Than Normal In Most Of Ontario

Environment Canada reports May was a very dry month near the Lower Great Lakes and generally drier than normal over the rest of the province.

The agency's Ontario Weather Review also mentioned severe thunderstorms on May 29th which included some nickel-sized hail in parts of Lambton County.

While a warm spell is forecast for the coming weekend, Environment Canada expects a return to cooler than normal conditions until the following weekend.

After that, Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says we should expect temperatures to rebound to be somewhat warmer than normal.

He would not speculate on precipitation for June, however, saying there is no strong trend on that at this time.
