U-S Corn, Winter Wheat Conditions Hold - Soybeans Slip

The condition of the U-S corn crop remains unchanged this week at 75 per cent good to excellent.

That's four points better than it was a year ago.

Soybeans slipped a point, dropping to 73 per cent good to excellent.

That's 8 points better than a year ago.

Winter wheat is unchanged at 61 per cent good to excellent - 20 points ahead of a year ago.

Spring wheat is 76 per cent good to excellent - down 3 points from last week and 5 points better than a year ago.

Soybeans are 96 per cent planted - 3 points ahead of the five year average and 7 points ahead of last year.

The U-S winter wheat crop is 25 per cent harvested - 3 points behind the five year average for this time of the year.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
