Canadian Farm Equipment Makers Applaud Innovation Push

Leah Olson says some of the best farm equipment in the world is produced here in Canada.

She's President of the Agriculture Manufacturers of Canada.

Olson welcomes the federal government's push to make Canada a world leader in innovation.

She says the agriculture industry will need to produce more with less and that Canadian farmers are at the forefront of meeting that challenge.

According to Olson, innovation is happening every day in her industry because AMC members are in communities across the country, talking directly to farmers and responding to their needs.

She says the Agriculture Manufacturers of Canada is looking forward to discussing with federal government representatives issues such as trade and programs that allow the sector to succeed.
