Looking For CNE Volunteers For 2016 Event

The Canadian National Exhibition is looking for volunteers for this year's event.

The 'Friends of the CNE' program uses more than 100 volunteers each year.

They help with greeting guests, providing directional assistance and acting as tour guides, among other things.

CNE General Manager Virginia Ludy says it's a great chance for young people - and those who are young at heart - to apply their skills and gain valuable experience in a unique and exciting environment.

Volunteers work a minimum of six shifts at four hours each.

Preference will be given to volunteers who can work evening shifts.

There's more information on the CNE website - www.theex.com.

Deadline for applications is July 15th.

This year's CNE runs August 19th to September 5th.
