U-S Corn, Soybean And Wheat Conditions Holding Steady

No change in the condition of the U-S corn crop this week, soybeans dropped a point while the winter wheat crop improved by a point.

The USDA has corn at 75 per cent good to excellent, 7 points better than a year ago.

Soybeans are 72 per cent good to excellent, 9 points ahead of last year.

And the winter wheat rating of 62 per cent good to excellent is 21 points better than last year.

The U-S spring wheat is 72 per cent good to excellent - down 4 points on the week but the same as it was last year.

The winter wheat harvest is 45 per cent completed.

That's 4 points ahead of the five year average and 12 points better than it was at this time last year.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
