U-S Corn Condition Holds Steady

Not much change in the condition of the major U-S crops over the past week.

Corn was unchanged at 75 per cent good to excellent, winter wheat steady at 62 per cent and spring wheat unchanged at 72 per cent.

Soybeans slipped two points to 70 per cent good to excellent.

The USDA reports 58 per cent of the U-S winter wheat crop has been harvested.

That's 3 points ahead of the five year average and 8 points ahead of last year at this time.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
