Provincial Government AgriFood Investment Creates 14 New Jobs

The provincial government is making an investment in a food processor in St. Catharines.

Mortimer's Fine Foods makes a wide range of frozen foods for distribution by Canada's largest food retailers.

The 680 thousand dollars from the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund will help the company expand its St. Catharines facility.

That expansion is expected to create 14 new jobs.

A company spokesman says it will help Mortimer's meet the increased demand for its existing products as well as develop new food products for the Canadian and U-S markets.
