DuPont Pioneer Expansion Includes Ultra-Early Maturity Corn Research

DuPont Pioneer is expanding it's efforts to develop canola, ultra-early maturity corn and soybean products for Western Canada.

The company has put 35 million dollars into research and development projects for Western Canada over the past five years.

That includes an expansion of it's Saskatoon Research Centre.

Research Director Dave Charne says DuPont Pioneer is focussed giving western farmers higher value crop choices by delivering products adapted to the Prairies.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
