Nuffield Canada Names 2017 Scholarship Winners

An Ontario woman is one of four Nuffield Canada scholarship recipients for 2017.

Nicole Mackellar has been named winner of the Grain Farmers of Ontario sponsored scholarship.

She'll use the funding to study the possibilities for branding of commodities that are further processed into ingredients.

Mackellar works in GFO's Marketing Department.

The other three Nuffield recipients are from Western Canada.

All four will prepare for their international study travels with a trip to Brazil in March to meet with other scholars from around the globe for a week-long conference.

Nuffield Canada's 15 thousand dollar scholarships are awarded for a minimum of 10 weeks of travel for study purposes.

Recipients can come from any field of agriculture and from any aspect of the industry.

The hope is that scholars will use their knowledge and leadership to further the agriculture industry.
